My Ride – Helping Kids With Cancer

Physiohealth's long time friend Adam Murchie, director of Forza Capital is involved again this year with My Ride. My Ride is a charity bike ride which raises money for My Room, part of the Children’s Cancer Centre at the Royal Children’s Hospital. My Room has been running for 21 years and is completely staffed by volunteers which ensures that the maximum amount of monies raised goes to the very kids that need it. The ride will be from North Melbourne to Altona and return which is a round trip of approximately 52kms. The ride will be held on Saturday November 29 with a 7.30am arrival for an 8am departure. See flyer below. There will be three speed groups to cater for all levels – this is a social ride, not a race, so it is all about fun and fundraising. The entry cost is $50 (which is also a tax deductible donation) and each participant is encouraged to also fundraise via the mycause website. Last year the ride raised $21,000 and this year we hope that we can get closer to $50,000. You can enter for My Ride and set up your fundraising page by going to It is all raising money for a great cause – sick kids with cancer – and the goal is to get to a 100% cure rate. So, please get involved, join me for the ride and bring as many people as you can along. If we can raise $50,000 it would make a meaningful difference to sick kids.   Print
