2012 Swim Nationals Report – Scott Rolph
The first National Swimming Meet following the London 2012 Olympics was always going to be an interesting affair. 2 staff members from Physiohealth were selected to work with the Victorian Institute of Sport Team at the 2012 Australian National Short Course Swimming Championships in sunny Perth. Scott Rolph as the physiotherapist and Melanie Grant as a Massage Therapist. The Short Course Meet saw a lot of fast swimming and Australian Records. A large number of Victorians performed very well making finals and medalling. A great Victorian result saw many VIS athletes make the National Team to compete in the upcoming Instanbul Swimming World Championships later this year. It was a great experience to work on pool deck alongside some of the best Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists and Sports Scientists in the world of Australian Swimming. It was also a great way to enjoy the beautiful weather of Perth and escape, if only for a week, the Melbourne weather.
