Working out with injuries - something we are all guilty of at one point or another! Cory and Colette chat about ways to continue to work out and keep up activity levels while injured. •Avoid activities that involve the injured body part too much. This avoids putting too much stress on the injury. However it's important to keep the body moving and focus on doing exercises on other parts of the body to continue fitness and de-condition whilst recovering. •Change exercises from intense moves to static moves to reduce load. For example an ankle injury - lots of impact jumping and landing will put too much stress on the injured area. More controlled exercises would be advised like squats or lunges. Working on the core and upper body would also be an option. Always consult with your Physio when injured to work out the best plan of attack to recover and stay fit at the same time!
