For people starting out with exercise and new activities it's very important to gradually increase exercise. Too much too soon increases risk of soft tissue damage. The type of activities you conduct back to back - plan your week and your workouts so you know what areas you will be working on and ensuring that you have a proper break between areas. If you are mixing up cardio you can do back to back but be careful with HIIT and weight training.
