Amelia’s Journey with ITU World Triathlon Series

Words by Amelia Tregear. Hola from Spain! Once again I have been fortunate enough to travel the world with Australia's elite Triathlon squad. Our first stop was Yokohama, Japan for the 3rd race of the ITU World Triathlon Series. The Aussies posted a solid performance, placing 14th, 16th, 18th, 26th & 32nd in the men's event, and 14th, 17th & 19th in the women's event. Fellow American teammate and World ranked #1 Gwen Jorgensen took out the title in the women's elite race. We are now located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain where the athletes will remain for the European summer, training and racing whilst enjoying the occasional pintxo and tortilla! Next week we will head to London for the 4th race in the ITU World Series calendar. Best of luck to all the Aussies competing! Amelia
